Immersion for teens

Each year in February, King Carnival, who will also be known in 2009 as "King of Masquerades " settles in Nice in a flurry of follies from February 13 to March 1, for what could be considered the most awaited event on the Cote d'Azur in winter.

Colorful carnival parades and poetic flower parades on the Promenade des Anglais rhythm this extraordinary week of temporary insanity. Many exciting events will follow making the whole city tingle with joyful glee.
 


The Theme

The most important event on the Riviera in winter, for its 125th year, the theme of the Carnival of Nice will be "King of Masquerades", from February 13 to March 1st, 2009.

The theme for 2009 evokes the art of concealment in every sense : wearing a mask, changing one's appearance, staging, in short the art of deception.

From a simple disguise to plastic surgery, from manipulation to celebrity press & the Carnival is no longer the only realm of fancy dress and device in all its forms, represented in a modern and outrageous fantasy...
All the Carnival parades will be located on the new place Massena and around the garden Albert 1st and the Flower parades will take place along the Promenade des Anglais or sea-front and will feature numerous innovations ...
